These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of morworship.com and the Musicians on Reserve service (“MOR,” “we,” “us”). By creating an account or using MOR, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
What MOR is
MOR is a concierge service that connects churches with vetted, Christ-centered worship musicians (“players”). We help churches request players and coordinate the details of each booking. MOR does not employ the players; players serve as independent contractors.
Your account
You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for the activity that happens under your account. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to create an account.
Churches and players
Churches submit requests, and MOR matches and confirms a player. Players are independent contractors — not employees, agents, or partners of MOR or of the church. Scheduling, song materials, communication, and payment are coordinated through MOR.
Payments and subscriptions
Church memberships are billed on a subscription basis, and player fees are charged per request. Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card is charged when a player is confirmed; MOR holds those funds and releases the player’s pay once the service is complete.
Applicable fees, and any refund or cancellation terms, are described at the time of purchase. Subscriptions continue until canceled, and you can cancel at any time.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse MOR. That includes not using the service for unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent purposes; not attempting to book or hire players outside of MOR in order to bypass the service after being introduced to them through MOR; and not interfering with the service or with other users’ use of it.
Your content
You keep the rights to the content you submit, such as song materials. You grant MOR a limited license to use that content solely to provide the service. You are responsible for having the rights to any materials you share.
Disclaimers
MOR is provided “as is.” We vet every player for Christ-centered character and musical excellence, but we cannot guarantee outcomes, availability, or that a player will be the right fit for your church. To the fullest extent permitted by law, MOR disclaims all warranties not expressly stated here.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by California law, MOR’s total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid MOR for the specific service that gave rise to the claim. MOR is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
Termination
You may stop using MOR at any time. We may suspend or end accounts that violate these Terms or that create risk for the service or its users.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the date above. Your continued use of MOR after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California.
